In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Constance Jaeggi, a beer bath, recent enhancements to Photoshop, movement and a rolling backpack.
- Kate Mothes reviews Constance Jaeggi's show Escaramuza, the Poetics of Home on view in Chicago through Aug. 23. "Jaeggi chronicled teams in Illinois, Colorado, Texas, Washington, Idaho, Georgia, California, Oregon, Iowa, and Arizona, interviewing riders as she went. During the journey, she met two poets, ire'ne lara silva and Angelina Sáenz, whose poems accompany the images and take inspiration from the women’s stories," she writes.
- Matthias Schrader catches a soccer player celebrating with A Beer Bath from 1.3 gallon glass after Bayern once again won the Bundesliga title. "The shutter speed was 1/3200 sec at aperture 2.8," Schrader reveals how he set up the exposure on his Sony Alpha 1.
- Julieanne Kost shares Ten Exciting Enhancements to Photoshop in this video:
- Rob Wood presents Light Stalking's April photo contest winners on the theme The Essence of Movement. The competition offers a $100 People's Choice Award and a $250 Overall Winner Award.
- Think Tank Photo has introduced its $399.75 Walker Pro Rolling Backpack, combining a roller and backpack. The bag includes a water bottle pocket, tripod attachment and laptop sleeve within its carry-on size.
