I talked to Joyce around 7:30 last night. She was waiting to be taken to surgery at any minute.
A few hours later I called it a night without hearing what had happened.
She did say she hadn't eaten all day except for the ClearFast nutrition drink. And she was in some distress.
"I feel _terrible_," she said.
So assuming she did finally get to surgery last night, we're letting her sleep this morning. We'll check in with her this afternoon.
If she or the surgeon call before that, we'll let you know what we find out.
