When I talked to Joyce today she was weary of hospital life. "I just want to come home," she said.
Unfortunately, I'm not done with the renovations. There's still the third story addition to build and the subterranean parking garage. Thinking about expanding the orchard in the back, too.
She did say she's been getting calls from Texas.
I did promise not to pick any of the apples until September. She should be home by then, certainly.
She said she took a longer walk this morning with her physical therapist. Around the room and down the hall without the walker. And the woman is coming back this afternoon for another session.
I've forwarded your emails to her and she's read them but she can't type on that little phone keyboard.
She did say she's been getting calls from Texas. She missed one because she can't always get to the phone (or the charger).
So she's not jumping in and out of bed but she is getting her strength back. In a few days she may be able to tie her bed sheets together and escape through the window.
I just hope she remembers to bring the Wound VAC with her. I'd hate to have to send her back for it. It's four stories up.
