When Joyce got wind of the plan to release her today, she vetoed it. "I have to pack!" she complained.
It's not a problem, I told her. Dr. Tong has always said she would leave it up to Joyce to decide when she's ready to go home.
So her release has been moved back until tomorrow morning.
Moments ago I received a call from Cheryl, who manages the whole process. She said they were planning to release Joyce from the hospital tomorrow.
"Is that all right with you?"
"Oh yes," I said for the record.
She confirmed that sometime between 9 and 11 tomorrow, she'll call me with the details. And within 48 hours a home health nurse would call to see when she could start visiting.
Tomorrow will certainly be another day.
