A Video Conference

This afternoon Joyce had a video conference with Dr. Tong, their first chat since she left the hospital.

Dr. Tong had a few questions for Joyce about how home healthcare was working for her (very well) and confirmed this was a lot better than doing the dressing changes at the hospital. Again she mentioned being nice to the care providers so they want to keep her as a client.
"You are a nice person," she told Joyce.
I mentioned that during the dressing change today, we saw some orange tissue growth and a slight darkening of the skin around the edges. She didn't have the photo in Joyce's chart yet, so I texted Tyler to ask him to send it.
He got right on it.
It was actually Salwa who took the photo this morning and sent it to him for evaluation. He said it looked fine, nothing to worry about, just normal new skin growth.
So we're not worried.
Joyce did tell Dr. Tong she will have an MRI on her foot and back tomorrow evening as a consequence of her ER visit earlier this week. So she'll keep a lookout for that.
"Hopefully, the scans will show some helpful information," she said.
Then she told Joyce she looked very good, much better than when she was in the hospital. "Absolutely," Joyce said.
It's the cooking, I said to myself.
