Deliveries, Amen

22 September 2020

Early this morning Apria called. It delivered our order by FedEx yesterday but it was only one box, not the two we ordered. I had called to make sure we were getting billed for what they delivered and not what we ordered. And to, uh, get the rest of our order.

A nice but confused lady insisted we shouldn't be charged for anything because we're renting the machine and supplies are included. But since Joyce confirmed with Kaiser that the supplies are not included, we suspect the woman is just mistaken.

She mistakenly transferred me to billing after the department had closed for the day.

I hung up and resumed my vigil for the FedEx driver. Whit had alerted us that a delivery would be made a few days ago and when that didn't happen, she tracked the package and saw it would be delivered yesterday.

But it didn't make it until after noon today.

We opened the package while we were waiting to hear from DSI Logistics LLC., the delivery provider servicing Lowe's. They call half an hour before they arrive.

Last night we got an email from DSI telling us our delivery window would be between 9:30 and 1:30 today. It's after 1 p.m. now and we haven't gotten that half hour warning call.

Update (4:30 p.m.): I called DSI to track the order only to find out Lowe's had canceled it. The dispatcher suggested I call Lowe's. Which has already closed for the day. I did leave them a little feedback, though.

But the package from Whit, Steve, Sam, Oliver and Whit made up for it.

As you can see from the photo, it's a glass flower. Viv made it, the card informed us. And it put a big smile of Joyce's face.

And then the mail came with a lovely card from Judy.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
