The Bird Is in the Bag

We just returned from a walk up to the corner and back. It was too windy and cold for Joyce to continue so we came home. Time to put the bird in the oven anyway.
This year the bird is in the bag. A turkey breast. Marinated. Pre-cooked. How can you lose? A half hour covered, 10 minutes uncovered.
Sides? Of course. Spinach tortellini in an Alfredo sauce with some sauteed mushrooms. A Caprese salad to start. And apple pie to finish.
We're debating whether to have prosecco or Beaujolais Nouveau with the meal. Or both.
But right now it's going to be a single malt scotch with some Brie and crackers.
By the way, Sunday is Joyce's 70th birthday. I've been working on a special story for this site and wanted to invite you to drop by on Sunday.
