No sooner had I arranged my vacation plans for Sept. 10 than Shamira calls to reschedule Joyce's surgery for Tuesday, Sept. 21.
Just to speculate wildly on the subject, starting on a Tuesday probably means getting out by Friday. And avoids a weekend right after a Friday, Sept. 10, surgery.
But I'm not going to reschedule my vacation* yet. The surgery could still easily be put off until October, after all.
