Shamira called today to reschedule surgery at the hospital from Sept. 21 to Sept. 10. Dr. Tong felt it would be better to do it sooner, she said.
So the Covid-19 test was rescheduled for Sept. 7, within the four-day window now required before hospitalization. At 2:30 in the afternoon at French Hospital, to be precise.
Joyce does have an in person visit (not a video chat) with Dr. Tong (or one of her physician assistants, Sharmira added) tomorrow.
It would seem Dr. Tong would have to evaluate the wound tomorrow. The assistants have seen it but she hasn't. As far as we know, Dr. Tong will be doing the surgery in the hospital.
And, Shamira confirmed when I asked, they will evaluate the wound tomorrow. So we should bring supplies to rebandage it.
That would be the Mepilex bandages that are supposed to be coming today.
