A Reward Is in Order

Salwa the LVN did Joyce's dressing change this morning, complete with Santyl to fight the yellow slough.
When we told her Quoia the Other LVN mentioned a social services worker might be able to arrange something for Plan B dressing changes were I incapacitated in some way having nothing to do with dinner, she volunteered to get that ball rolling.
At least we can get some information on what's available, how to kick start it and what it will cost (because it will cost us something).
She's always looking out for Joyce.
I told her about getting her most recent text (just after she changed her name on my phone to her married name). Not recognizing her last name, I bellowed, "Who the hell is that!" before seeing it was "Salwa" and remembering she had changed her name.
She laughed. "Good thing we're on a first name basis!" she said. "Let's keep it that way."
She had already talked to Kevin the RN about getting an order for physical therapy from Dr. Tong. We should get a call later this week, she predicted, for an in-home evaluation.
I told her that Joyce has been walking around the block twice a day now. And she was impressed.
So later, at the market, I thought Joyce deserved a reward and found these delicacies suggesting themselves.
