She got out of bed and made it into her room to put on underwear, but fell doing it. I was able to lift her high enough to get her legs under her and her arms on the walker. She steadied herself and finished dressing.
Then I did her dressing change for the first time since Friday. She had trouble getting on the bed and off the bed but she managed.
It's better to dress the wound when she is lying on her stomach. The wound is more like a bowl then, so if you put something in, it stays in. But at the hospital they probably had to do it sideways because she couldn't turn over so parts of the dressing were coming out this morning.
It didn't help that they wrapped it in a narrow Ace bandage either.
There are a lot of ways to dress the wound, of course. But we've found some things make it easier. And safer.
She used the walker to get to her chair by the TV and took her antibiotic and two B vitamins.
As so the first morning has gone.
