Rather than move Joyce to a nursing facility, her doctors sent her home by transport late yesterday. She wasn't able to climb the stairs or to walk very well and is still confused. I was less than amused.
They brought in two bags of her belongings but not her trekking pole. That was in the van, though.
In the afternoon, I had gotten a call from the head and neck doctor's office to reschedule the appointment she "missed" yesterday afternoon. I told them to email a reminder to her. But I already had a letter from them because I had called to tell them she was in the hospital where he could see her. He didn't. I was less than amused.
I made dinner. A salad with garbanzo beans and a margarita pizza. She ate the salad and one slice of pizza.
We watched a little baseball before we went to bed. She could barely walk to the bedroom using the walker. And she needed assistance getting into bed. But she didn't get up all night. She was still wearing the hospital diaper.
I looked at her release papers this morning. Two varieties of Vitamin B (not provided), a phone appointment with her primary. Lab tests taken by home health. Oh, and that head and neck guy still expects her to show up, which is simply out of the question.
Hard to see how this is going to work.
