In this recurring column, we'll highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at a photojournalist's car trunk, a Photoshop plug-in that uses gestures, Think Tank Photo's beltpack promo and Photoshop CC sync settings.

  • Worcester Telegram & Gazette chief photographer Dan Gould reveals all in Photojournalists Need To Be Prepared. Everything that's in the trunk of the car, that is.
  • Adobe's John Nack reports 3 Gear Systems is "exploring ways to control Photoshop via their gesture-sensing technology." In his post, he presents a video of the Photoshop plug-in.
  • Think Tank Photo has announced a special July Beltpack Promo. Order a Speed Convertible hybrid shoulder bags/belt packs or a Change Up V2.0 and you will receive your choice of a Little Stuff It! or a R U Hot? modular bag for free. We relied on the Speed Demon on our Yosemite trip and discussed it in our Yosmeite ebook.
  • Julieanne Kost explains the new Sync Settings in Photoshop CC, one of the benefits of having the Creative Cloud servers at your back. The new feature "uses your Adobe ID to synchronize your settings between the two software installs allowed in the license agreement (your home and work computer for example)."

More to come...
