Michael Reichmann has announced the first recipients of the Luminous Endowment Grant. Photographers from the U.S., China, Italy, Poland and Romania were among the winners.

The Grant Winners

  • The $5,000 Luminous Landscape Grant to Vincenzo Mazza (Rome, Italy) for The Southern Ancient Guardians by
  • The $5,000 M. Reichmann Grant to Dennis Hearne (California, U.S.) for Bright Moments
  • The $2,500 Mylio Grant to Mario-Cezar (Ialomita, Romania) for Archive Popescu
  • The $2,500 Lenswork Grant to Jacek Luc_ by (Lower Silesia, Poland) for Montes Niviferi
  • The $5,000 N. Kitto Grant to Sean de Sparengo (New Territory, HK) for Yunnan Orphans

Jurors

The panel of jurors included John Paul Caponigro, Joe Cornish, Eric Meola, Peter Cox, Mikkel Aaland, Ctein, Katrin Eisman, Alain Briot, Tim Wolcott, Sean Reid, William Neill, Andy Biggs, Nick Rains and Ken Duncan.

Projects may be submitted until May 31, 2015 for the next round at the application page.

Luminous Endowment Grants Awarded to Photographers in U.S., Hong Kong, Italy, Poland and Romania

Michael Reichmann, the Founder of The Luminous Endowment for Photographers, together with the Endowment's board of directors, is pleased to announce the winners of its first series of grants to photographers world-wide.

The Grant Winners

  • The N. Kitto Grant ($5,000) for Yunnan Orphans by Sean de Sparengo (New Territory, HK)

Next Grants

The Luminous Endowment is now ready to receive applications for our next round of grants. Applications are open to anyone in the world and will be received until May 31, 2015.

Some things to keep in mind:

  • These are not awards. You submit past work only to show our panel of judges what you can do. The grants though are for an ongoing on planned project and are based on the merits of that project as described in your application.
  • Please read carefully. Applications submitted to the wrong category will be rejected. Applications that don't describe use of proceeds will be rejected. We are unable to enter into discussions regarding rejected applications. We try and be as fair as possible, but our available time is limited.
