In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention (with more than 140 characters). This time we look at Phil Toledano, Kevin Raber's iPhone, Brave New Camera and Lightroom Publisher for Format.com.

  • In Looking Ahead to Photos of Old Age, James Estrin describes Phil Toledano's photography project, transforming himself into "a 90-year-old man in a wheelchair, an overweight office worker and a stroke victim." A book and a short film about the project are on the way:
  • In I Shot It With My iPhone, Kevin Raber challenged himself to shoot more seriously with his iPhone and, funny thing, "I am having fun!" Mike Johnston too, despite the headline.
  • Online portfolio platform Format, which is also the creator of the iPad portfolio app Kredo, has released Lightroom Publisher for Format.com. The free Lightroom plug-in, you can publish your work to your online portfolio directly from the Adobe post-processing software.
  • Brave New Camera is "a documentary and conversation about how cameras are changing the world." And now it's also an Indiegogo campaign, as the team tries to raise $45,000 to finish the movie.

More to come...
