Adobe announced today Photoshop Touch, its mobile image editing app, "will no longer be available for purchase" after May 28 and is no longer being developed. The company noted the app "will continue to work on your device but no future updates will be provided (bug fixes, operating system updates, etc)."

Adobe Head of Outreach Bryan O'Neil Hughes, who also showed off the company's new mobile retouching technology today, posted a lengthy Peek at What's to Come in the company's mobile apps.

The piece covers Photoshop Mix, Photoshop Sketch, Adobe Comp CC, Adobe Shape CC, Adobe Brush CC and Adobe Color CC before announcing the end of Photoshop Touch:

Sometimes building for the future means we need to make hard choices and today I am also announcing that we are discontinuing Photoshop Touch. For those of you who have been using Photoshop Touch, thank you and please continue creating amazing work with it; while it will no longer be available in stores as of May 28th and we won't ship further updates, it will remain completely functional on your devices for the foreseeable future. He confirmed the company is developing new apps for Android as well as iOS. The retouching technology demo was shown on an iPad.
