We picked up the turkey yesterday. And the mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. All in one box. Cooked.

Happy Thanksgiving. However you're celebrating, we're grateful you're here.

We learned a lesson last year. When hosting Thanksgiving in someone else's home, buy the box. It takes an hour to warm everything up. No stress. No looking for cooking implements long lost. Less cleanup.

"Someone else's home" is Mom's home. At 92, she's not up to cooking Thanksgiving and she made the mistake of having four sons and no daughters at all.

It turns out that the more you share, the more you have.

Daughters are extremely useful not just for day-to-day care but on holidays, too. Sons are not much use, period. But we can pick up the box.

Last night we got together to welcome this year's attendees. Brother John and his wife Kim are here as usual. And John ordered Chinese.

He was concerned the four dishes he ordered wouldn't be enough food for the five of us. And the restaurant got the message. They doubled his order.

We caught him posing with the bounty. Behind that middle bag is a big smile.

We thought the image was a good way to tell you once again there's always room at our virtual table and plenty to eat for you. It turns out that the more you share, the more you have.

And, as you can see, we have a lot. Happy Thanksgiving!
