In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Delirium, petals, careers, predictions and a Z firmware update.
- Delirium by Cooper & Gorfer captures the "vulnerability of both the patients and healthcare workers" in one image. They had to build a set at the hospital.
- Harold Davis demonstrates that Piles of Petals Are Performative. He manages to go in two quite different directions with the same capture.
- Sheen Watkins explores Photography Careers including part time, full time or extra income opportunities.
- Paul Melcher share his Predictions for Visual Tech in 2021. Among which we find, "Authenticity will soon mean produced without the help of an AI."
- Nikon has released a Nikon Z 7 and Z 6 firmware update which enables 12-bit Raw video recording in 4K UHD or Full HD to a compatible Blackmagic Design external recorder. The company said a free firmware update is scheduled for February 2021 to enable Blackmagic Raw functionality in Z 6II and Z 7II cameras that have had the Raw video upgrade previously activated.
More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
