In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at a new series of portfolios, reliable gear, a Smugmug gallery and Nordic Styles.
- In Supporting Women, Jonathan Blaustein begins publishing "a series of portfolios by some extremely talented female photographers, thanks to a heads up by my friend and colleague Jon Feinstein."
- In Time Tested Gear, Roger Cicala, Ryan Hill and Joey Miller "get to the bottom of why some products hold up better than others." LensRentals inspects 20,000 products a week, so consider this the voice of experience.
- Weary of Blogger's image compression, Kirk Tuck invites you to view his Leica SL2 ISO 50 images on A Gallery on Smugmug.
- Capture One has released Nordic Styles, two new style packs with two styles each inspired by Nordic light for $29 a pack or $49 for both. "Get bright, crisp looks for the fresh season with the Nordic Lifestyle Style Pack or add new color-grading possibilities with the Nordic Editorial Style Pack," the company said.
More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
