In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Albert Watson, Gabriele Galimberti, Roman Yarovitcyn, Joe McNally, top lenses, Hahnemühle's print registry and RSS.

  • In Divine, Pacino, Jagger -- And Me, the Guardian presents a few images from Creating Photographs, a new book featuring 50 years of Albert Watson's celebrity portraits.
  • Suzanne Sease presents the personal project of Gabriele Galimberti. "For over two years, I visited more than 50 countries and created colorful images of boys and girls in their homes and neighborhoods with their most prized possessions: their toys," Galimberti writes.
  • Roman Yarovitcyn describes his Life as a 1990s Russian Newspaper Photographer using a Zenit-E. "In 1994, when I left the Zenit-E behind, it was like a nightmare finished," he writes.
  • In The Book of Odd, Joe McNally tells the tale of using Printique to print a photo book of his favorite images.
  • Dan Havlik picks The Five Best Lenses of 2021 (So Far).
  • Hahnemühle's Print, Protect, Authenticate program registers your images online tool using myartregistry.com to help administer limited editions for collectors and yourself. The Technical Press Imaging Association has named it the best fine art printing solution in the imaging industry.
  • Frederic Lardinois reports Google Revives RSS. Actually, RSS is fine. It's Chrome that dropped RSS. But an experimental version of the browser on Android is bringing it back with a "Follow" feature. RSS is the best way to find out when we publish a story here.

More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
