We've just archived Volume 10, Number 10 of Photo Corners on the Archive page with 18 Features, 20 commented News stories, 24 Editor's Notes (which included 156 items of interest), 3 reviews and 2 site notes for a total of 67 stories.

There were 151 images in 29 of those stories and 8 stories with gear specifications with one holiday tossed in. There were two obituaries.

We thought we'd do a little math to explain our news coverage. Those 20 news stories plus the 156 links to other noteworthy items in the month total 176 news items or, in this case, about 7 news items a day for the month (not including Sundays). We just summarize about six of them for you.

READERSHIP NUMBERS are, as always, incomplete when we sit down to reflect on the month. Doing that on Halloween evening is probably not a bright idea but we are early enough not to be counting any ghosts.

We're pleasantly surprised to see 1.84 million pages served for the month as unique sites went up for the third consecutive month.

Around the middle of the month, an msnbot began visiting us but not heavily.

OUR TOP STORIES were led by the new Pentax 21mm lens story followed by the Sony 70-200mm G zoom story and our review of Exposure 7.

Three Horns followed that group before the matinee about taking a group shot, our story about a new PureRaw release and the matinee about Georgia O'Keeffe's photography filled out the top stories.

WE DID PUBLISH three reviews in October, getting back in the saddle with some software test drives. And we have a few more that will be published in November. There had been a drought, we realize.

WE ALSO PUBLISHED one site tweak story. It was exceedingly minor. But, you know, sometimes minor things matter. And we felt this one did. When you use the Find command on our site, you are now addressed to the text box rather than the popup for search options.

If we can save you even one click, we'll do it.
