Sigma Announces 20mm, 24mm Art Primes Share This on LinkedIn   Tweet This   Forward This

8 August 2022

Sigma has announced two full-frame wide angle primes for the L Mount and Sony E Mount in its Art series, which "pursues the highest optical performance and rich expression," the company noted. Special attention was paid to the use of astrophotography in both lenses.

SIGMA 20MM

Combining an optical design with in-camera corrections that keep distortion under control, the 20mm f1.4 DG DN lens offers well-controlled sagittal coma flare that yields pin-point stars from edge to edge. A new Manual Focus Lock switch disables the focus ring so focus won't change even after hours of shooting under chilly, dark skies.

The lens accepts 82mm front filters, unusual for ultrawide primes, while also including a rear filter holder to accommodates sheet filters for various creative effects.
