In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at spring, Andrew Medichini, a Tiffen iPhone adapter and sunset photography.
- Alan Taylor presents 20 photos of Spring in Bloom "from recent weeks in North America, Asia and Europe, of people enjoying flowering fields and trees -- signs of warmer days to come."
- Andrew Medichini has covered the Vatican for 27 but he never got a shot of The Head of the Catholic Church like this before. "From experience, I know that if something happens it will likely be in a fraction of a second," he says. "That's what happened in this case, where I only got two shots and one was good."
- The $29.99 Tiffen 58mm Filter Adapter attaches to an iPhone 14 or 15 Pro using the MagSafe system to provide a screw mount for 58mm filters. It's also available bundled with a 58mm circular polarizer for $39.99.
- The Secret to Captivating Sunset Photography, Julie Powell suggests, is to turn around. "While the setting sun may steal the spotlight, the surrounding landscape often holds its own charm and intrigue," she writes.
More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
