It reminded us of the old joke about the committee charged with coming up with as horse than ended up with a camel.
As he reminds us, you can yourself do better than than the camera algorithms if you have access to the data.
And, if you've been following the bouncing ball here, you know we always process our smartphone images in Adobe Camera Raw. Single image in Photoshop and slide shows in Lightroom.
Because they always look better with some adjustments to the exposure. In this case, we adjusted settings in the Geometry, Light, Color and Effects panels.

It does religiously bloom in December while remaining inconspicuous the rest of the year.
