In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at aerial photos, Mous Lamrabat, Jerome Delay, an AI test and paper passports.
- Reuters showcases its 25 Best Aerial Photos of the Year.
- Kate Mothes features Mous Lamrabat's Striking Portraits Put Unity, Love and Compassion in Sharp Focus. "Through fashion photography and vibrant personal work, the photographer celebrates love, freedom and unity," she writes.
- Jerome Delay captures Exuberance in Ghana after an election. "I used a slow shutter speed with a pan, not an easy tool to master but it does convey the notion of speed quite effectively," he writes. "And I did have much practice at it."
- Stuart A. Thompson asks, Which Parts of These Images Are AI-Generated? (gift link).
- Wired claims The Paper Passport Is Dying and the passport photo along with it. "Smartphones and face recognition are being combined to create new digital travel documents. The paper passport’s days are numbered -- despite new privacy risks."
