In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at a butterfly migration route, Juliette Pavy, a non-profit contract, Which Year game and Raber memorial.
- Lucas Foglia photographs A Butterfly Migration Route That Is Millions of Years Old for the Worldwide Painted Lady Migration Project.
- Underwater Argonauts showcases Juliette Pavy's photographs of expeditions monitoring the global impact of invisible pollutants from the Mediterranean to the Arctic.
- Andrew Souders prices a 25-image shoot for a Non-Profit Healthcare Client at $9,050. "By offering flexible licensing options such as time-limited extensions, perpetual use, and multi-image bundles, the photographer met the client’s needs without compromising on value," he writes.
- Which Year is a daily photo game in which you try to guess the year in which a photo was taken. Each day five new images are displayed. "Things like fashion, technology, film quality or context clues can all help," the designer hints.
- Chris Sanderson has set up a Book of Remembrance for Kevin Raber on PhotoPXL for photos and memories of the recently deceased Raber. Jeff Schewe writes, "His approach was to attack each day in a 'full-tilt boogie' regardless of what he was doing ... photographing, teaching, writing or just living."
More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
