We've just archived Volume 12, Number 12 of Photo Corners on the Archive page with 20 Features, four commented News stories, 25 Editor's Notes (which included 155 items of interest), one review and one site note for a total of 51 stories.
We published 101 images in 18 of those stories and celebrated two holidays with two obituaries.
While our total for the month wasn't much different from last year, there was a shocking lack of news stories. We published just four, a record low. We made up for that with 20 features and 155 items in the Editor's Notes but otherwise the industry took the month off.
READERSHIP was down a bit in December with less to read here, although unique sites held firm.
We never did revoke our earlier ban on Google but it hasn't seemed to hurt much.
OUR TOP THREE STORIES were not Around The Horn columns, interestingly.
In fact, the top two were obituaries for Larry Fink and Elliott Erwitt. They were followed by our matinee on The Eyes Photography Contest.
The rest of the top ten were all Around The Horn pieces.

IT WAS A DIFFICULT YEAR for us, ending in the loss of our mother on Dec. 20 after attending to her daily during her gracious decline and final departure from us.
We have often said that publishing Photo Corners sustains us. And December was another illustration of that.
As the site evolves into 2024, we hope it sustains not just us but everyone who visits its pages.
